Make an Impression by Jo Wholohan

profile_JoWow project 2 for me is here already!!!!

For those who aren’t familiar with me, my name is Jo Wholohan and I share my art under the name of Josie’s Muse.

You know that age old question if you went to a deserted island what art supplies would you take?

Mine would be Caran d Ache Neocolor II Crayons, my all time favourite supply…… One of the things i love about Neocolor, and there are many, is their ability to play well with watercolor media my second all time favourite.

Hope you enjoy the video and happy holidays!!!!

Hard to Resist by Jo Wholohan

profile_JoThank you for joining me for my very first video as part of the Luluart Design Team!

For those who aren’t familiar with me, my name is Jo Wholohan and I share my art under the name of Josie’s Muse.

I create mostly with water soluble media so gesso and art mediums are not normally my friend but in a moment of
epic disaster on one painting a light blub moment of how to use matte medium to my advantage was born.

Just a note while watching the video, I worked on 3 separate paintings while filming this so progress shots will vary.
I tend to create this way often as it keeps me productive 🙂

Under the Sea by Wendy Walsh

IMG_4411Hi Everyone,

My family and I have just returned home from holidaying in Cairns, Australia. A lengthy visit to the Great Barrier Reef involving plenty of snorkelling was a magical experience all my family will remember forever.

Inspired by this experience came the ideas for this art piece/video.

Using inks, water and seeing images in abstract watery marks is where it starts. Creating images and finishing them off with mixed media is where it finishes. The process is so much fun as it allowed me to immerse myself in my wondrous memories of the Barrier Reef and all its glory.

Enjoy this video and thank you for watching it.

May the awe of nature fill your heart and soul today and everyday.

The following photos provide you with insight into the inky journey.

Here’s the video…enjoy ..

Les Stencilables by Wendy Walsh

It’s Winter, it’s cold and it’s PERFECT weather to stay indoors, get out your paints, stencils and brushes and CREATE! That’s what I do and today I am presenting a video of me doing just that! I found some gorgeous music, grabbed a cup of tea and zoned out doing my favourite thing….ART and playing with my MIXED MEDIA stash.

Please join me in the act of creating art that you ease into and love.

A few sneak peeks you say?   Well here are some pics:

Pretty Journal Cover by Monika Dabrowska-Ejmont

MonikaHello!   It’s Monika again 🙂

There was lot of sewing going on in my house lately.  So I got inspired by it. My mumma does it, 🙂  I just watch, admire the colours and touch and feel fabrics, laces, buttons. And I always wonder how it would look if I paint over that pattern or this one?  How paint will behave itself on it? What texture I will end up with? What else I can throw on it?

So I decided to give it a go!  I made a journal ( notebook, book) cover. You can put on one journal and when you are done with it, you can transfer it on another.  Hope you like it.
