My family and I have just returned home from holidaying in Cairns, Australia. A lengthy visit to the Great Barrier Reef involving plenty of snorkelling was a magical experience all my family will remember forever.
Inspired by this experience came the ideas for this art piece/video.
Using inks, water and seeing images in abstract watery marks is where it starts. Creating images and finishing them off with mixed media is where it finishes. The process is so much fun as it allowed me to immerse myself in my wondrous memories of the Barrier Reef and all its glory.
Enjoy this video and thank you for watching it.
May the awe of nature fill your heart and soul today and everyday.
The following photos provide you with insight into the inky journey.
Here’s the video…enjoy ..
Products I used:
- FW Inks in: Cool Grey, Purple Lake, Prussian Blue, Marine Blue, Paynes Grey
- White Posca Pen Liner
- Prismacolor Pencils
- Water sprayed on in a Mist Spray Bottle.
I hope you have found this inspiring.
