Be Brave

Creating is something I look forward to each weekend. My time is limited so each piece I create is precious to me and is a record of my creative journey.

Not each piece I create goes as planned but over the years I taught myself to push on and continue, rather than starting over. By the end, the majority of times I am pleased I did so.

This piece is one of those times.

The white stamp in the hair just adds some additional interest to the overall piece.

The Neocolor II’s and Dyslusions ink work together.

Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat where have you been?

Who doesn’t love playing with new products. Have you seen the new Jane Davenport collection at the Lulu Art Store? I couldn’t help myself and had to buy some of the range to play with.

FullSizeRender (1)

I was just so excited to have a play, I used one of my old drawings from when I use to create timber cutouts. This cat and mouse is one I created some years ago for my paper towel holder. I just scaled it to size on my computer, printed it and traced onto Jane’s watercolor paper insert for the traveler’s journal.

I had lots of fun playing and hope you get a chance to play along with me. Why not go and make a coffee, sit back and watch my creative video which I put together to share my processes.

Golden Teddy Bears Galore

Hi Lulu Art Fans, can you believe we are nearly half way through the year? Wow where have the months gone?

It is my pleasure today to share with you how to create a super cute jointed teddy bear. You can use him as a bookmark, pin him to your pin board or washi tape him in your journal.

He is relatively quick and easy to make and you can dress him up by adding flowers, tutu, hat etc. I even added a mermaid tail to some of mine.
