Colour Me Positive – Week 46

cmp_banner_wk46

Today’s quote is all about PASSION. Passion has the power to transform your life, to reveal your purpose, your reason for being, your life’s work.

To find out what your passion is, ask yourself “What would I do if money was no object?”. Paint? Write? Teach? Dance? Start a charity? Open a restaurant? ……..?  The trick is to think big, then begin by taking small, steady steps towards your dream. Mark Twain said that “the secret of success is making your vocation your vacation”.

What would you do if you could do anything at all?

Today’s quote is all about ATTITUDE. There are some things in life that we can’t change but we can certainly change how we react to them. It’s all in the attitude.

We get to choose how we feel about things so why not choose to feel happy, to feel positive, to feel confident, to feel loving. No matter what is going around you, your attitude will determine your happiness. Make it a good one!

Colour Me Positive – Week 44

This weeks prompt is all about the power of laughter and how we should include some in our daily life!

Everyone enjoys a good laugh. It creates a space to set aside things that are bothering us. It can lift us above our burdens and awaken us to new possibilities and frankly it’s just fun!

Living in a world of laughter opens one’s life to a world of joy. Joy is a wonderful quality that is inherently creative and productive. And, when we’re productive we’re doing positive things with our lives. Isn’t that reason enough for laughing more?

Never dismiss the power of a good laugh. It instantly puts us in a good mood. Find a good funny movie to watch or a comedy show or just simply have a good belly laugh with your friends.

Colour Me Positive – Week 43

cmp_banner_wk43

Today’s quote is all about chasing your DREAMS. I’m pretty sure we all have them. We might be sitting on the couch in our PJ’s but we can still think about our big scary dreams. But instead of just thinking about them we need to start chasing them, to stalk them in fact!

Of course those old fears pop straight up .. people will think I’m crazy .. I’m too old/young .. I’m not smart enough .. I don’t have enough money! We’ve heard them all before. So we put our dream off and relegate it to the elusive “someday”. Well that day is today!

Life is short, make the most of it. Start today. Do whatever you can with what you have right now. It might take years to achieve that goal but if you don’t start it now those years are going to go past anyway so don’t waste them. Make them count. Get excited! Move a little more towards that goal every day.

What can you do today to get started?

Sometimes we just need a day off!  It really is ok to say that you need a break and take some time for yourself. So this week that’s exactly what I am doing … I’m putting up the “Gone Fishing” sign and having a break. I’ll be back on board next week.

If you’re still keen to do a challenge this week you could create one with your own favourite quote or even do one around having a break or going fishing 🙂

Have a great weekend everyone.

Colour Me Positive – Week 41

Todays quote is about SIMPLICITY and having a good look at what is really important in your life.

We are into our second month of Spring here in Australia so the mind goes to spring cleaning and simplifying the home. This act seems to free up emotional energy as well as physical space. I love the feeling it creates by simplifying the mind and surroundings.

Simplifying our life can mean so many things. It can mean getting rid of many of the things you do so you can spend time with people you love and do the things you love. It can mean getting rid of the clutter so you are left with only that which gives you value.

Whatever it is to you .. keep moving down that path. Keep freeing up space to breathe. Find great joy in the simple things.

Colour Me Positive – Week 40

cmp_banner_wk40

This weeks quote is reminding us that our FUTURE is bright! Really, there is no reason our future can’t be bright especially if we start seeing it as that right now!

cmp_wk40

Feeling fear and anxiety toward our future comes from neglecting our present and holding onto our past—so in order to enjoy our future, we must start enjoying our present. Right now! There is so much to celebrate. Look for the good in everything. Be grateful for things and people around you. There is always something to feel grateful about even if it’s something small. Start there.

wk40_lisaBe happy now. Don’t let anyone or anything dim your inner light.

This is another quote that I love that I felt was relevant this week. “Accept, then act. Whatever the present moment contains, embrace it as if you had chosen it. This will miraculously change your whole life.” ~Eckhart Tolle

Our future is completely open and we’re writing it moment by moment. What will you write?

I have to admit this weeks quote keeps reminding me of this catchy song from the 80’s haha – Future So Bright by Timbuk 3

The picture on the right is a canvas on my wall that I created in a class with the lovely Denise Daffara. I look at this often as a reminder that my future is bright!
