Colour Me Positive – Week 19

CMP_Banner_Wk19

This week is all about having BALANCE is in your life.

To me balanced living is when you can always offset any negative events in your life with positive ones. Also when you are happy working and playing equally. Finding balance in my life between work and play is a constant challenge for me (think workaholic) and I’m still working on achieving it!  It’s an ongoing project 😀

Our Feature Artist – Monika Dabrowska-Ejmont

Tell us a little bit about yourself …

I am an Artist and a Mixed Media Art Teacher. I love anything and everything creative and shiny 😊

The purpose of art for me? It is to fill my soul with peace and happiness. To give myself a gift every day – “here we go Monika, here is a dolly girl for you, or a green kitty cat 😊  or glitter!” And if I can share it with you too, it will make my day ❤

What is your favourite quote?

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.”

What inspires you?

I am inspired by nature and European folk art: paintings, sculptures, embroidery, artistic paper cutting. All that vibrant colours, patterns, flowers are making me happy.

For this week’s challenge prize Monika has donated a really sweet 6×6 sized canvas. We will draw a random name on Friday 20th May from those who have uploaded into the Week 19 folder by that date. So you have two weeks to complete the challenge.

Entry is open to everyone who participates, no matter where in the world you are. It’s not a game of skill, you won’t be judged on your artwork. It will be a random draw. So have fun, upload your photo and you may get a lovely bonus!

Wk17_WinnerWinner of Week 17 Draw:

Now it’s time to draw a name from the photos loaded up into the Week 17 photo album. Today’s lucky winner is Karyn Niin Kitigade‎. Congratulations Karyn! Here is the page that Karyn created about FRIENDSHIP and finding your tribe.

Make sure you check out the photos in the Facebook albums. There is some amazing work in there. What a great place for inspiration. Make sure you leave a few comments while you are there.

GiftBox_smlAll you lovely Australians that are participating in the challenge are entitled to a 5% discount whenever you make a purchase from our Lulu Art store anytime throughout the year. All you need to do is enter in the following coupon code in when you check out – CMP2016 and your discount will be applied.

Please remember:

It’s ok to skip a week and jump in wherever you can. Don’t feel pressured if life gets busy!

Don’t compare yourself to others. We’re all in different stages of our art journey. You’re an artist and you’re amazing no matter what level you’re at. Just have fun and keep going.

Please PM or email me if you have an urgent question as I’m more likely to see it. The facebook page moves so fast it’s so easy to miss comments.

Have fun, be happy and support one another!
