Colour Me Positive

Colour Me Positive – Week 7

I am really loving all your beautiful pages from last week that were created based on kindness. Some were accompanied by lovely stories as well which are always a pleasure to read. Please keep on sharing.

With Valentine’s Day this week it only seemed right to use a quote that used the word heart 🙂 Today’s quote is all about putting your whole HEART into things.  If you’re going to do something, no matter how big or small, do it with your whole heart! Go with all your heart, do it with all your heart, say it with all your heart and most importantly love with all your heart. Live your life fully and deliberately.

Our extra (optional) journal prompt is:

Collage an image (or two or three) onto your page.

Here are a few YouTube videos of pages using hearts for inspiration.

Mixed Media Heart – Nika in Wonderland

I {heart} – Vick Papaioannou

Love With All Your Heart – SimplyColorfulLife

Here’s an example of a page I did which was inspired by the quote:

As we go into week 7 I want to send a little message of encouragement to those who feel that they’ve fallen behind.

“YOU ARE NOT BEHIND!”  In this challenge you can just come and go as you please. There are no strict rules.  Just because you haven’t had time to do the last couple of weeks, don’t let it hold you back. Skip some weeks if you have to. Just jump right back in to this week and keep on going.

Week 7 Challenge Prize:

Wk7_PrizeThis weeks prize is a little pendant made by me! It has glitter, and silver hearts set in resin. With Valentine’s Day around the corner I couldn’t resist putting some hearts in it 🙂

We will draw a random name on Friday 26th February from those who have uploaded into the Week 7 folder by that date. So you have two weeks to complete the challenge.

Entry is open to everyone who participates, no matter where in the world you are. It’s not a game of skill, you won’t be judged on your artwork. It will be a random draw.

Wk5_WinnerWeek 5 Prize Draw:

Now it’s time to draw a name from the photos loaded up into the Week 5 photo album. Today’s lucky winner is … Megan Lenske. Congratulations Megan! Here is the page that Megan created about dreaming big.

Make sure you check out the photos in the Facebook albums. There is some amazing work in there. What a great place for inspiration. Make sure you leave a few comments while you are there.

A Discount for my Australian Customers

All you lovely Australians that are participating in the challenge are entitled to a 5% discount whenever you make a purchase from our Lulu Art store anytime throughout the year. All you need to do is enter in the following coupon code in when you check out – CMP2016.

Please remember:

It’s ok to skip a week and jump in wherever you can. Don’t feel pressured if life gets busy!

Don’t compare yourself to others. We’re all in different stages of our art journey. You’re an artist and you’re amazing no matter what level you’re at. Just have fun and keep going.

Please PM or email me if you have an urgent question as I’m more likely to see it. The facebook page moves so fast it’s so easy to miss comments.

Have fun, be happy and support one another!

  1. Dear Lisa,
Thank you for this amazing opportunity; it is opening up new avenues and beginning joy and learning in freeing me up… Learning to engage in art journaling. I have always loved making collages, especially cutting, freely, trees, leaves and the world around them. I wanted to introduce myself to you with this “Thank You” note. I taught 2nd grade in NY city. I make jewelry, hand fabricated silver, and set stones. I so want to free my creativity; I write poetry too. I will post my work soon, need help with posting from my tech savy husband. I live in NY and NJ and will plant my garden of flowers in the spring, which amazes me; being a “city girl”.

    1. So lovely to meet you Sandy. I’m glad you’re getting so much out of the challenges. We’ve been seeing some amazing transformations and it’s terribly exciting! Thanks so much for being part of it and I hope you get a chance to post some photos soon so we can see what you’ve been working on. ~ Lisa xx
